Hunter Leveling Guide And Talent Build

As we all know that Hunters are the fastest and easiest leveling class in the entire game, no contest. Why would this be? Because they have an unbeatable and unmatched solo capability due to a number of hunter unique features, primarily the pet.
Of all the classes, the Hunter can skip more than ten levels of training and new abilities and continue to reach insane levels of experience per hour, and this is all tied to their massive and consistent DPS.
The Hunter is unique in that they deal ranged DPS as spell casters do, but most of the damage they deal is physical in the vein of the melee classes. The combination, coupled with the most fleshed-out and powerful pets in the game, make the Hunter one of the easiest classes to level with while dealing consistent damage and keeping their opponents at bay. Played well, the trapping and kiting abilities of the Hunter make it one of the most useful classes to have anywhere.
Here is a survival build for raid DPS. This build assumes the Hunter needs +hit. Talents like improved arcane shot can be moved out for Rapid killing and Go for the Throat. Instead of going for survivabilty in the survival tree you can go for the DPS talents like Humanoid/Monster Slaying. Remove the pionts in deflection, deterrence, and couterattack to put them in things like Thrill of the Hunt (helps in long fights) and max out Clever Traps (helps cc on 10 mans.)
Hunter’s are without a doubt one of the top 2 classes as far as speed goes in leveling. Speccing correctly to make this true can be confusing.
First and foremost, Beast Mastery is the 100% best spec for PvE DPS at this point in WoW. (2.3/4) This spec will provide the most DPS due to the Serpent’s Swiftness talent, and the increased pet DPS.
Currently this is the highest configuration for Raid DPS using the Beast Mastery tree. It focuses on a steady shot / auto shot rotation with a 1:1 ratio. The key is getting a fast weapon and possibly haste items but ensure your ranged weapon is somewhere between 2.7-2.9 speed and no more. You want your toolbar to read 1.6 attack speed to 1.9 to account for server lag and response time. You should also find a macro to use with this build in order to get max efficiency.
For Hunters the beast mastery tree is quite obviously the best for straight leveling speed, although it gives few buffs to the hunter himself, although they are there, it turns his pet into a war machine and allow it alone to solo multiple monsters at a time.
However, the primary aspect of which this aids leveling is not built entirely on how much damage the pet deals, but rather that it also hold’s aggro well enough to rate it as an extremely reliable and durable tank.
This combined aspect of both Hunter and pet dealing high damage and the hunter being capable of healing the pet quite easily makes it almost a rival for any Warrior/Priest team.
The first talent of the beast mastery tree is, interestingly enough, a buff to aspect of the hawk. Although not an unwelcome talent, easily trumping endurance training, it is a rather interesting start on a tree almost entirely focused on the hunters pet.
The next talents, focused fire and Improved Revive Pet, are largely filler – yet again they provide bonuses, just not exactly major ones at any level or step of the beast mastery build.
With the synergy of both your DPS and the pets, you should find your Hunter becoming an unbeatable grinding speed demon. Enjoy it.
